The model is designed, indeed aimed at junior modellers but that shouldn’t put anyone off, there’s potential here for creating a good model of a Resistance X-Wing Fighter from The Clone Wars.Ī gentle dry-fit of parts shows that everything should go together well – remember, these are push-fit kits and designed not to come apart again – different to normal kits in this respect. The surfaces should look good under paint, washes and general weathering. As you may have read, we’ll do this with a number of these Revell ‘Easy Kits’.
Personally, I would want to get the model together and then clean up any joins etc before applying my own paint finish and that’ll be the subject of the build we’ll run in SMN – taking an entry-level ‘Easy Kit’ and making more of it and certainly trying to get the best out of the box contents. Command your own LEGO Star Wars 75206 Jedi & Clone Trooper battle pack with this fun building set, featuring 2 Lightsaber-wielding Jedi Masters, 2 Clone Troopers with stud blasters and a speeder with stud shooters and rotating wingtip guns. The model actually comes with some paint applied as I say and this isn’t usually well done and here is ok on this model. The model offers a simple breakdown of parts that are quite well moulded and painted in light grey base with blue panels giving the model a heavy, weighty feel but that doesn’t detract from the finesse of the detail that is cleanly moulded and generally well-defined.
This kit was released in 2010 and I have to admit we have had it a while waiting for the launch of the Sci-Fi/Space Area in SMN that you can see is now live :) Let the builds begin!! Closer look at this kit Here are the basic stats for this release: Photo courtesy Star Wars Databank A note from Geoff During the assault on Starkiller Base, Poe Dameron flies a customised, dark-hulled X-wing under the call sign Black Leader. The credit-strapped Resistance relies on X-wings donated or lent by sympathetic New Republic senators and local security forces. Faster than the Alliance-era T-65s, Resistance X-wings are manoeuvrable enough to engage TIE fighters in dogfights, but powerful enough to take down capital ships. The Incom T-70 X-wing is the latest incarnation of a classic design, and the signature combat craft of the Resistance’s Starfighter Corps. Revell model kits are available from all good toy and model stores. Our thanks to Revell for supplying our review sample. In-box review by Geoff Coughlin (January 2017) Star Wars is known for ships like the Millennium Falcon, X-Wings, and TIE fighters, but some of these lesser-known starfighters are always a pleasant surprise for all fans.Price around: £24.99, €28.43, $30.13US, $40.31AUS (check out the web retailers, you can get this kit much cheaper than this price) Based on what we saw during Season 2, she has been working with a fairly small team while one of these ships could hold up to 24 passengers. Used as both a starfighter and transport during the Clone Wars, it is a total flex by Bo-Katan to still pilot one of these. It dwarfs the Slave I and towers the cantina with its unmistakable wings that pivot vertically when landed. Ships seem to last in the Star Wars universe, as seen during the final space battle in Kryze being in command of one of these fighters around 30 years after The Clone Wars is a testament to how much she has been through as a character. Is being piloted by Bo-Katan Kryze, a former member of Death Watch during the Clone Wars.
